One of the first projects I've worked on from concept to completion, E05 is a plot in the Wembley park development. The plot is a 3 tower block - each tower with their own roof garden and a communal podium courtyard garden on the fourth level linking the three towers. The ground floor public realm is very constricted having to accommodate for everyday functionalities as well as event day requirements - the ground floor of the building serves as a coach park to the stadium for example whilst the block itself is purely residential. Managing the balance between the various requirements was one of the interesting challenges of this project.

We were involved through the conceptual design which was inspired by a quintessentially English theme put forward by interior designers fosse aurora and carried through to the courtyards and roof gardens. Our task during detail design and construction stages was to ensure this vision was brought to life whilst remaining safe buildable and suitable for exterior use, see below drawings demonstrating the journey of concept through to construction. Sourcing work/play/sleep caravans Suitable for a level 13 roof was an especially interesting task.
