  • Freelance landscape architect

    Available to work on a freelance basis as a landscape architect with all stages of projects from concept to construction. Available to help leading, coordinating or in any production tasks technical and graphic.

  • Small landscape architecture projects

    I collaborate with a small team of other freelance landscape architects - we are always open to opportunities for small design projects to collaborate on.

  • BIM modelling

    I am experienced in revit and happy to take on modelling projects for practices that are not yet up to speed with BIM but don’t want lack of in house BIM to affect opportunities. I spent a few months of 2023 helping to introduce revit to a larger landscape practise.

  • Initial Garden Concept

    Includes:

    - Putting together mood boards for initial consideration of look and feel

    - Consultation to understand brief and any preferred precedent images for look and feel

    - Site visit to understand the interior/surroundings and take measurements

    Altogether typically 1-2 days depending on size of garden

  • Conceptual Design

    Includes:

    - From consultation brief and mood boards developing look and feel into 3-5 layout options for the client to consider

    - Development of preferred layout including layout tests

    - Development of preferred materials including material tests of hardscape and planting

    - 2 rounds of comments and revisions to preferred layout

    Altogether typically 4 to 5 days depending on size of garden

  • Construction Pack

    Includes:

    - Development of preferred layout and materials into a priceable general arrangement plan

    - Production of hardworks plans, planting plans and details into a construction pack

    - Production of maintenance plan to give to a contractor to price and build

    Altogether typically 2 - 3 days depending on size of garden

  • Planning Permission

    If planning permission is required, we can help handle this for you if you are within the UK. If the works are not within the UK we can act as agent for you between the relevant agent who can make the application on your behalf.

  • On Site Monitoring

    On site monitoring roles includes acting as contract administrator to the contractor with site visits and sign offs according to agreement. The involvement during this process is project specific.
